2013 4th of July Parade

The Shelter Sidekicks and Pet Owners in the Parade

For the second year, the Great Falls Animal Shelter and their Shelter Sidekicks participated in the 4th of July Parade, along with happy pet owners of adopted and/ or rescued pets.

7 happy rescued dogs marched alongside their parents to promote the adoption of shelter animals.

The dogs wore bandanas sponsored by Electric City Pittie Committee.

The Shelter Sidekicks and pet owners kept a close eye on the safety of the pets due to the extreme heat.  All the dogs had Musher's Secret on their paws to help prevent burning from the hot asphalt.  Drinking water, wet towels, and spray bottles were carried along the route to keep the pooches cool.

Below are pictures of the fun we all had in the parade, despite the heat.

We hope to see you all and more next year!  We hope to have a float!
