9 LIVES FOR $9 DURING THE MONTH OF JUNE

GREAT FALLS, Montana – To celebrate “Adopt a Shelter Cat Month” the Shelter will be running the “9 Lives for $9” adoption promotion June 2-30. All adult cats can be adopted for $9!  The adoption fee includes a rabies shot, vaccinations, FIV Combo Test, a nametag, a microchip and the cost of spaying/neutering your cat. History shows that cats tend to be rather lucky animals and have the ability to survive adversity. This ability has created the legend that they actually have nine lives!  However, none of their 9 lives should be spent in a shelter – help save a life by adopting a cat this month.

Kittens that are too young to be altered can be adopted for $9 during the promotion, but also require a $65 refundable spay/neuter and rabies deposit. Existing pet owners, who are interested in adopting, are asked to bring proof of rabies vaccinations for their current pets.

This event would not be possible without generous community donors who support the Shelter and its animals.  Funds to help off-set adoption costs are provided by the Shelter Sidekicks Adoption Fund. The cost to cover the spaying/neutering is provided by the generous donors of the Shelter’s Guardian Angel Fund and the Shelter’s partnering veterinarians.

For more information about becoming a cat owner, contact the Great Falls Animal Shelter at 454-2276.
