  1. The employee holidays for all City employees are as follows:
    1. New Year's Day, January 1;
    2. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, 3rd Monday in January;
    3. President's Day, 3rd Monday in February;
    4. Memorial Day, last Monday in May;
    5. Independence Day, July 4;
    6. Labor Day, first Monday in September;
    7. Veterans Day, November 11;
    8. Thanksgiving Holiday, fourth Thursday and Friday in November;
    9. Christmas Day, December 25;
    10. Every day in which a general election is held throughout the State (General Election Day).
  2. Designated holidays falling on an employee’s regular days-off. Employees shall either be entitled to receive a day off with pay or the day preceding the holiday off on another day following the holiday in the same pay period. (Ord. 2781, 2000).
