The employee holidays for all City employees are as follows:
New Year's Day, January 1;
Martin Luther King Jr. Day, 3rd Monday in January;
President's Day, 3rd Monday in February;
Memorial Day, last Monday in May;
Independence Day, July 4;
Labor Day, first Monday in September;
Veterans Day, November 11;
Thanksgiving Holiday, fourth Thursday and Friday in November;
Christmas Day, December 25;
Every day in which a general election is held throughout the State (General Election Day).
Designated holidays falling on an employee’s regular days-off. Employees shall either be entitled to receive a day off with pay or the day preceding the holiday off on another day following the holiday in the same pay period. (Ord. 2781, 2000).
