10.84.010 Issuance—conditions
The City Engineer is authorized to issue or withhold such special permit at his discretion, or if such permit is issued, to limit the number of trips, or to establish seasonal or other time limitations within which the vehicle described may be operated on the public streets indicated, or otherwise to limit or prescribe conditions of operation of such vehicle or vehicles when necessary to assure against damage to the road foundation, surfaces or structures or safety or traffic and may require such undertaking or other security as may be deemed necessary to compensate for injury to any street or road structure. 10.84.020 Display--violation—penalty
- Any person who knowingly and willfully misrepresents the size or weight of any load in obtaining a special permit or does not follow the requirement and conditions of the special permit or who operates any vehicle, the gross weight of which is in excess of the maximum for such vehicle may be eligible for license, without first obtaining a special permit, is guilty of a misdemeanor.
- Every special permit issued under this chapter shall be carried in the vehicle or combination of vehicles to which it refers and shall be open to inspection by the Police Officer.
- A complaint filed and a summons or notice to appear issued pertaining to a violation of the gross weight regulations in this chapter shall specify the amount of the over-weight which the defendant is allowed to have had upon the vehicle or combination of vehicles.
