Great Falls City-190 Government Access Channel
Great Falls City-190 is designated as a government access channel on cable channel 190. Day to day operation of the channel is under the direction of the City Clerk. The mission of City-190 is to promote a more informed citizenry by offering a greater opportunity for individuals to view government meetings; provide the citizens of Great Falls with valuable government information and increase community awareness of important City issues; and provide useful information to general and specialized audiences via the community readerboard.
City Commission Work Session meetings are streamed live on the internet and broadcast live from the Commission Chambers Room 206 the first and third Tuesday of each month beginning at 5:30 p.m., and re-aired the following Thursday morning at 10:00 a.m., and on the second and fourth Tuesday nights of each month at 5:30 p.m.
City Commission meetings are streamed live on the internet and broadcast live from the Commission Chambers Room 206 the first and third Tuesday of each month beginning at 7:00 p.m., and re-aired the following Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m., and on the second and fourth Tuesday nights of each month at 7:00 p.m.
Cascade County Commission meetings are regularly held at the Courthouse Annex the second and fourth Tuesday of every month at 9:30 a.m. View the Board of Cascade County Commissioners 2014 meeting schedule. The video recorded meetings are aired on City-190 Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. and Thursday at 10:00 a.m. the week of the meeting, and Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. during the off weeks.
If there are agenda items, the Planning Advisory Board/Zoning Commission meetings are broadcast live and streamed live on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month beginning at 3:00 p.m., and re-aired the following Thursday at 7:00 p.m. Check the Boards and Commissions page for meeting cancellations.
The Board of Adjustment/Appeals meets on demand. The meetings are usually scheduled for Thursdays at 3:00 p.m. These meetings are also broadcast and streamed live, and re-aired the following Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. Check the Boards and Commissions page for scheduled meetings and cancellations.
The City-190 Community Readerboard is offered as a free public service to promote community calendar information and public service announcements to the citizens of Great Falls. The Community Readerboard is displayed on channel 190 in and around the Great Falls area to homes that subscribe to Optimum TV service. Text is displayed throughout the day, 7 days a week, during all non-program (recorded or live) playback hours.
