A Celebration of Montana’s Libraries and Librarians

September 29 – October 5, 2013

Did you know???

According to the 2012 Census, the population of Montana is 1,005,141. The number of visits to public libraries in Montana is 4,678,960. That means every single man, woman, and child visited their Montana public library nearly five times last year! And, these figures include only the public libraries; if school, academic and other libraries were included, that number would be significantly higher.

Do you know how your libraries make a difference?

No? Well that’s what Montana Library Week is all about. It’s a week in the life of libraries. Montana librarians from all types of libraries will collect statistics, comments and stories to share with you about what they do during a typical day and how people benefit from libraries. Patrons will be able to share how they use the library and what they love about it.

Do you love your library?
