Volunteer Opportunities with the City of Great Falls
Volunteering at the City of Great Falls
Our lives are busy and it is often hard to find time to volunteer. However, there are tremendous benefits to becoming a volunteer. The right fit can help you meet new people, make a difference in your community and learn new skills. Volunteering can also help protect your mental and physical health.
One of the better-known benefits of volunteering is the impact on the community. Unpaid volunteers are often what holds a community together. The City of Great Falls has a number of volunteer and service opportunities that might just be perfect for you!
Park and Recreation
Adopt -A-Park Program - Volunteers have the opportunity to help with litter clean-up, vandalism watch, shelter and picnic area cleanup and maintenance as well as the planting and maintenance of trees, shrubs and flowers, weed control and River's Edge Trail projects and maintenance.
Visitor Center - Volunteers answer the phone and provide answers regarding travel to Great Falls, assist travelers with internet searches for information of the local and surrounding area and provide other travel related services.
Special Events - Volunteers are used during many events throughout the year such as the Ice Breaker, Easter Egg Hunt, Pet & Doll Parade, junior golf programs, Electric City Winter Classic Basketball Tournament, Lions Family FunFest and Montana Senior Olympics.

Boards & Commissions
Serving on a City board or commission is a great way to become involved in your local government. This is an opportunity for citizens to become involved in the various issues facing their local government and become a part of the decision making process. The City of Great Falls has over twenty boards and commissions. So, whether your passion is planning, recreation, health, or the arts, there is sure to be a topic that interests you.
