9-11 CEREMONY TO MEMORALIZE THOSE WHO PAID

THE SUPREME SACRIFICE TO SAVE OTHERS

GREAT FALLS, Montana – On Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at 8:30 a.m. at Fire Station-1, located at 105 9th Street South, the firefighters from the City of Great Falls, Malmstrom Air Force Base and the Great Falls International Airport Fire Department will have a short ceremony to honor the first responders who paid the supreme sacrifice to save lives during the 9-11 terrorist attacks.

According to Assistant Fire Chief Hester, “It is very important that we never forget the men and women who, without regard for their own safety, responded and bravely acted to save lives.  As firefighters we want to honor everyone who lost their life during the attacks, but we also have a special place in our hearts for firefighters doing their job knowing just how dangerous the situation was during those horrendous incidents.”

While the ceremony will only last 30 minutes it will be a day of reflection and reinforcement.  We welcome members of our community and the media to attend and participate.  For more information about the ceremony contact Fire Chief McCamley at 727-8070.
