FIRE RESCUE EXCHANGE


GREAT FALLS, Montana – Great Falls Fire Rescue is pleased to announce it has scheduled the upcoming spring session of Fire Rescue Exchange (FRX). The next FRX will begin on Wednesday, May 15 and will run for eight weeks through July 3. Applications will be available beginning Monday, April 1.

FRX is a program designed to provide citizens of Great Falls an opportunity to get an up close look at how their fire department is organized and functions. Participants will experience working with a number of fire rescue tools and techniques commonly used by firefighters every day. Participants are encouraged to provide feedback and insight into how they view the current level of fire rescue services and their expectations for the future.

FRX consists of eight Wednesday night classes (6:30-8:30 p.m.) beginning May 15 and runs through June 3. Those interested in attending must be 18 years of age or older, a resident of the City of Great Falls and pass a law enforcement background check. There is a maximum limit of 20 citizens per academy.

Applications and a liability release form can be picked up between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at Fire Station 1 (105 9th Street South), weekdays beginning Monday, April 1, through Friday, April 26, or downloaded from www.greatfallsmt.net/fire.
