Website Help

The City of Great Falls website was designed with the user in mind. The major change in this design is the horizontal navigational “header” bar that appears first on each of our (non-pdf) pages.  Clicking the words “City of Great Falls, Montana” at the top of any page will bring you back to the City’s Homepage.

The header links allow users to choose from broad categories of information:

  • Visitors  – links to information about visiting Great Falls
  • Residents – links to information especially useful to residents of Great Falls
  • Business – links to information about doing business with or in the City
  • Government – links to information about Great Falls City Government, including elected officials, and City records
  • About Great Falls – information about Great Falls, its culture and history.
  • Contact Us – phone numbers, addresses and links to City Departments and Divisions

Another helpful feature of the site is the “footer” section.  Our classic “footer” has “breadcrumb” navigation links to show the user where s/he is in the navigational structure of the site.  The newer “footer” contains the City’s mailing address information and links to the home page, Disclaimer, Site Map, Search, and this help page.
