    The Shelter is running a “Back in Black” promotion to help change the future for shelter pets. Friday, July 6, through Saturday, August 4, all dogs and cats that are black (or mostly black) can be adopted for only $40.     The Electric City Water Park opens for the season today, Friday, June 8. The Water Park will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
    The Water Park includes the Mitchell Pool, the wading pool and Little Squirts Soak Zone; the Power Tower Plunge and the Flow Rider where participants can boogie board, ride the lazy river and head down the riptide slide.
