    Celebrate Father’s Day this weekend at the Electric City Water Park!  Father’s Day is Sunday, June 16 and in honor of dads, the Water Park has free admission for all fathers accompanied by their family.  Steve Keller with 97.9 will be doing a live remote from 11:30-1:30 p.m. and there will also be lots of prizes to give away.

A municipal mail ballot election will be held this year for the selection of one (1) Mayor for a two-year term, two (2) City Commissioners for four-year terms, one (1) City Commissioner for a two-year term, and forty-five (45) Neighborhood Council representatives consisting of five representatives in each of the nine districts for two-year terms.

    The Electric City Water Park opens for the season Friday, June 7.  The Water Park will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Water Park includes the Mitchell Pool, the wading pool and interactive play structure (Little Squirts Soak Zone); the Power Tower Plunge (two great water slides); and the Flow Rider where participants can boogie board, ride the lazy river and head down the riptide slide.

    Check out what is happening at the Library this June! The Library continues to host an art exhibit by the Thursday Morning Drawing group through June titled Subtract/Abstract, which asks the question “What happens when reality evolves from the recognized to the unfamiliar, a new unknown?” The Library also announces their annual Adult Summer Reading program, which runs June 1 - August 10.  This year’s theme for adults is Bask in the Big Sky.  Anyone 19 and older with a library card can participate.

    The City of Great Falls and Recreational Trails Inc. are working to develop a maintenance plan for the River’s Edge Trail. The public is encouraged to participate in a survey regarding the trail’s maintenance. Survey responses will be used to help plan for funding, staffing and prioritizing maintenance efforts. The survey is available online until Friday, May 17.
