Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnership (HOME) Grant Programs

The City of Great Falls has programs available through the Community Development Department which are designed to meet housing and community development needs. These programs are federally funded through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnership (HOME) grant funds which are provided through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The City of Great Falls receives these particular funds on an annual basis. The amount of funds given to the City is determined by a formula set by the federal government. For the current year (Fiscal Year 2007/2008), the City of Great Falls received $983,697 in CDBG funds and $406,870 in HOME funds. For the upcoming year (Fiscal Year 2008/2009), the City of Great Falls will receive $917,014 in CDBG funds and $394,063 in HOME funds.
