Fine Payments (How to Pay a Fine)
Fines are due in full on the day of sentencing. There are payment options available to avoid the inconvenience and time associated with coming to the Civic Center.
In Person:
- Pay with Cash, Personal Check*, Cashiers Check, Money Order. Visa or Mastercard can be used for payments in full.
Mail Payments:
- Payments must be received on or before due date. Call to verify citation can be paid without court appearance.
- Traffic Citations - Enclose yellow copy of citation and payment (Check, cashiers check or money order) and mail to Great Falls Municipal Court, PO Box 5021, Great Falls, MT 59401.
- If you cannot pay your fines in full you must see the Judge during open court to setup a payment plan or work project.
If you do not pay your fine on your court date, the court may:
Issue a warrant for your arrest or request that the Montana Department of Motor Vehicle suspend your privilege to drive and/or turn your account over to a collection agency.
* Personal checks are not accepted for past due fines.
