Chief McCamley

Fire Chief – Randy McCamley

Randy began his career with GFFR in 1983 and worked his way up through the ranks. In 2002, he was selected as the City’s 15th Fire Chief. He was promoted from Captain to Battalion Chief in 1996 and became the department’s Hazardous Materials Program manager and team leader. He was chosen as the Exchange Club’s Firefighter of the year in 1994. He enjoys the outdoors and is an avid fisherman.

 

Assistant Chief Bennyhoff

Assistant Chief Fire Prevention – Doug Bennyhoff

Doug began his career with GFFR in 1986. He became the City Fire Marshal in 2008. He was promoted from Captain to the department’s Training Officer in 2002. Doug was a long time member of the department’s Fire Prevention team and created the character “Squirt” the Clown! He was chosen as the Exchange Club’s Firefighter of the year in 1995. When not working, he can be found at one of the golf courses in town or across the state.

 

Assistant Chief Hester

Assistant Chief Operations – Steve Hester

Steve accepted the position of Assistant Fire Chief in 2004. He is a 20 year veteran of the US Air Force. His previous experience includes Fire Chief in Lewistown, MT; Hazardous Materials Instructor with the MT State Fire Service Training School and was the HazMat Coordinator in Salem, Oregon. He enjoys camping and cycling in his spare time.

 

Training Officer Johnson

Deputy Assistant Chief - Dirk Johnson

Dirk began his career with GFFR in 1999. He was promoted from Captain to the Department Training Officer in 2008. He was also a veteran of the GFFR Fire Prevention Team where he excelled as “SpongeBob”. Dirk was chosen as the Exchange Club’s Firefighter of the year in 2006. He further serves his community and country with the Montana Air National Guard.
