Adopt a Park Program

The City of Great Falls Park and Recreation Department's "Adopt-A-Park" is designed to provide opportunity for volunteers to help maintain park areas within the City. The program was initiated in 1992 to encourage involvement and support for the park system and to meet the demand of reduced maintenance budget.

Any organization, neighborhood group, business or individual can adopt a park or direct effort towards a specific park project.

This program will augment the regular park maintenance provided by the Department and thus promote volunteerism to make the Great Falls parks more beautiful.

When a potential volunteer contacts the Park and Recreation Department, the program and their particular interest will be discussed. If the project or interest falls in line with the program, the volunteer (or volunteers) will be required to review and complete an application for participation. Any group or organization, using volunteers under the age of 18, must provide adult supervision at a ratio of one (1) adult for each ten (10) youth participating.
