Kayak Classes Offered at the Natatorium

Are you looking for a comprehensive, affordable kayak class that will take you from beginner to novice status?

In the comfort of an indoor pool, we cover just about everything you need to know to head to the river:

• power, bracing, and turning strokes emphasizing proper technique
• balancing maneuvers
• the roll
• self and group rescues
• river reading
• and a host of other topics that will get you to the river in a timely, safe manner.

Certified ACA Instructors will guide you through the learning experience, using the best equipment on the market, the latest and most proven techniques, and demonstrate a sincere desire to share their experience with you.

Kayak:

Wednesdays
Class Dates: June 11, 18, 25 & July 2
Class Dates: August 6, 13, 20, 27
Class Time: 7 to 9:30 pm
This 4-session, comprehensive class will take you from beginner to novice in the comforts of an indoor pool. We cover power, bracing, and turning strokes emphasizing proper technique, balancing maneuvers, the roll, self and group rescues, river reading. Certified ACA Instructors will guide your learning, using the best equipment and proven techniques.
Cost per person: $ 95

Kayak Roll and Paddling Class:

First and Third Tuesdays of every month from 7 to 9:30 pm
The class focuses on the roll, but will also include forward, reverse, and turning strokes as well. Includes pool fee, instruction and kayak equipment.
Cost per person: $30.00

Open Pool Kayak Paddling Practice:

First and Third Tuesdays of every month from 7 to 9:30 pm
Practice paddle strokes, perfect your roll, try an awesome maneuver, hang out with other paddlers
Cost per person: Pool use - $5, equipment rental - $5 (if needed)
