Activities and Programs
Park and Recreation Department offers recreational programs for adults and children including basketball, softball, golf, skating, swimming, volleyball, and children's summer programs. The School District augments the City's indoor facilities for basketball and volleyball programs.

Remember the good ole days when you were a kid, you went to the park in your neighborhood and did arts and crafts with the “Park Lady”? Well the Park and Recreation Department is once again bringing this program to your neighborhood parks in the form of Fun in the Sun Days. For 6 weeks this summer, we will be visiting 6 of our neighborhood parks and doing arts and crafts, games and just having fun. So bring your family and plan on a picnic this summer.
Join us for a Penny Carnival, Around the World Games, Old Fashioned Games and much more.

Schedule: June 29, Gibson Park; July 6, Meadowlark Park; July 13, Lions Park; July 20, Jaycee Park; July 27, North Kiwanis; and August 10, Elk’s Riverside Park - Summer Camps
Summer Camps at the Community Recreation Center start in June. Registration begins in April, and there will be a waiting list. There are a total of eleven, week-long camps that focus on sport development, self-esteem, teamwork, gross motor skills, the arts, and understanding the choices we make in life and how they affect us. - Swimming Lessons
Offered for Ages 5 & up at the Morony Natatorium - Junior Golf Lessons
Junior Golf Lessons are offered for ages 9 and older at Anaconda Hills Golf Course. - Boating
