Summer Camps Schedule 2008

Kid’s summer camps are for children entering 2nd grade thru entering 5th grade. There are only 40 spots available. The cost is a $25 deposit, due when you sign up, with a remainder of $65 due the week of camp. This is a total of $90 per child, per week. This covers travel expenses, camp counselors, craft materials, and activities. They will need to bring a sack lunch with an extra snack each day. There is a $10 discount available for more than one child enrolled, per family. Camp times are from 8:00a.m. – 5:00p.m. Our goal is to provide a tobacco, alcohol, and drug free setting, with quality instruction and fun.
Summer Camp Schedule:
June 9th– 13th, Bike Camp: Focus on bike riding and safety, with tours of museums and fun at the parks.
June 16th– 20th Missoula Children’s Theatre Camp: Focus on the drama, Red Riding Hood. The children will perform this play for the public at the Recreation Center, on Friday evening. Tickets may be purchased at the door.
June 23rd–27th, 4 Ball Camp: Focus on learning basketball, volleyball, soccer, and tennis.
June 30th– July 3rd, Multicultural Camp: Focus on learning about the cultural diversities in our country, with swimming, bowling, skating, etc. in the afternoon.
July 7th – 11th Nature Camp: Focus on observing in our great outdoors, while leaving no trace.
July 14th– 18th, Mystery/ Swim Camp: Focus on learning to solve mysteries, while enjoying the pools in the hot afternoons.
July 21st – 25th, Sportastic Camp: Focus on learning martial arts, gymnastics, and yoga games.
July 28th – August 1st, Park & Recreation Camp: Focus on exploring the different parks and recreational areas around Great Falls.
August 4th – 8th, Swim Camp: Focus on crafts, games and fun, while splashing in the pools in the afternoons.
August 13th-17th, Yucky Outdoors: Focus on learning about the not so pleasant things about nature and animals, while observing and enjoying outdoors.
The Community Recreation Center will:
- Provide quality instruction
- Provide a tobacco, alcohol, and drug free environment
- Make sure camp staff is certified in first aid and child/infant CPR
- Make your child's camp experience fun, eventfull, and fulfilling in all aspects of their learning.
