TAKE PART IN THE DOWNTOWN PARKING SURVEY

GREAT FALLS, Montana – Do you have ideas and thoughts related to parking in Downtown Great Falls? As part of the upcoming Downtown Design Charrette taking place next week, residents are being asked to participate in a Downtown Parking Survey. The Parking Advisory Commission is encouraging citizens to participate in the survey and is seeking input on ways to improve the downtown parking program. The twenty-four question survey is currently available online (Downtown Parking Survey) until the close of business next Wednesday, November 7.

The survey takes less than ten minutes to complete and is designed to provide staff and the Parking Advisory Commission valuable input as they begin evaluating the downtown parking program. The survey asks respondents to rate the existing parking program as well as share their comments and feedback. The City of Great Falls is working with Walker Parking Consultants to assess the operation and management of the downtown parking program and evaluate ways to improve the program.

The City is always looking for ways to create a more user-friendly and positive downtown parking experience. The parking survey is being completed as part of the Downtown Access and Circulation Study and will be used during the upcoming Downtown Design Charrette being held Wednesday, November 7, from 6-8 p.m. in the Missouri Room of the Civic Center.

According to Wendy Thomas, staff advisor to the Parking Advisory Commission, “Parking is an essential part of a visitor’s experience in Downtown Great Falls, and we want it to be a positive one. The Parking Advisory Commission is looking for ways to enhance and improve the overall parking experience, while modernizing the downtown parking program.”

Questions regarding the Downtown Parking Survey can be directed to Wendy Thomas, Deputy Planning and Community Development Director at 455-8432.
