Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) Update Available for Comment

A draft of the 2014-2018 Transportation Improvement Program update is available for comment until September 19.

The Great Falls Planning & Community Development Department intends to update the FFY 2014-18 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) for the Great Falls Area.  The TIP is a five-year program of transportation projects proposed for implementation in the Great Falls Area during Federal Fiscal Years 2014 through 2018.  It primarily includes improvements to be financed with Federal and State funds provided by the U. S. Department of Transportation and the Montana Department of Transportation.

The Great Falls Planning Advisory Board will be considering and accepting public comment upon the new program document at its meeting of September 23, 2014.  Final adoption of the TIP will be by the Great Falls Area Policy Coordinating Committee for Transportation Planning, at a meeting scheduled for September 24, 2014.

A number of transportation projects and activities that are being developed for construction and implementation within the next 2-3 years will be included in the program.  The draft TIP is available for review on the City of Great Falls’ website, (see Supporting Documents below) and also in the Planning & Community Development Department, Room 112, in the Civic Center.
