Support Services Lieutenant Allen oversees the day to day operations of the entire Support Services Bureau, which includes:

  1. Training Office
  2. Warrants & Bailiff Officer
  3. Law Related Education & Citizen Academy Officer
  4. Special Projects Officer
  5. BRIC Officer
  6. Low Income Housing Officer
  7. Process Server
  8. Animal Control Officers
  9. The GFPD Volunteer Corps

In addition, the Lieutenant is personally responsible for testing and hiring new police officers and assisting with civilian hiring. This includes performing or arranging extensive background investigations, interviews, physical ability testing, administering written exams and other testing. The Lieutenant also engineers specific bureau projects and oversees departmental personnel recognition, collegiate criminal justice internships, internal promotional testing processes, and website maintenance.
