Sara Sexe was hired as the City Attorney in May 2013. She is a Great Falls native and has been practicing law for twenty-three years, most recently with the firm of Marra, Sexe, Evenson & Bell, P.C. Sara holds a Bachelors Degree in Political Science and Juris Doctor from the University of Montana. Sara replaced Dave Nielsen who had been the Acting City Attorney since August 2012.
Sara’s background is diverse. She has worked in many areas of civil litigation including employment, workers’ compensation, insurance and personal injury. She also has experience with contracts and business transactions as well as real estate, employment and civil rights laws.
Over the years she has served on the Housing Authority Board, participated in Leadership Great Falls, been a State Fair 4H horse show judge and coached youth sports teams. She is currently a Cascade County Law Clinic Board Member, co-chair for the State Bar of Montana Continuing Legal Education Institute and is past president of the Cascade County Bar Association. Sara is a proud Rustler graduate from Charles M. Russell High School and a University of Montana Track Hall of Fame Inductee.
