Montana Senior Olympics, June 7-9
Welcome All Senior Olympic Athletes
Great Falls is hosting the 2012 Montana Senior Olympics, June 7-9. The games kickoff on Thursday with the official opening at Alive@5, 5:00-9:00 p.m. in Whittier Park, adjacent to the Civic Center. Plan to attend Alive@5 to give a warm welcome to the athletes who are coming from all over Montana, Canada and several other states. The evening will include live music by 49th Street Blues Project, food, drink, games, and a festive atmosphere in anticipation of the games. A large area will be set up for athletes and their guests, with tables and chairs, providing the opportunity for them to socialize with fellow participants. The 5K road race will get underway at 6:00 p.m. on River Drive near the Civic Center.
Sports include Archery, Basketball, Bowling, Cycling, Field and Track, Golf, Horseshoes, Racewalk, Racquetball, Road Race, Swimming, Table Tennis, and Tennis, and include several events within each sport.
Registration is closed, but residents are invited to take in the various sports and cheer the athletes on, making it a memorable experience! The schedule is as follows:

The 2012 games in Great Falls are a qualifier for the National Senior Games to be held in Cleveland Ohio, July 21 – August 5, 2013. More information on the National Games can be found at:, www.nsga.com.
