DON’T FORGET THE GROWTH POLICY UPDATE
COMMUNITY OPEN HOUSE IS THIS EVENING!
GREAT FALLS, Montana – The public is invited to the Community Open House for the Growth Policy Update tonight, Monday, August 6 at 6 pm in the Missouri Room of the Civic Center (2 Park Drive S). The Community Open House is open to the public and everyone is encouraged to attend to learn more about the update process and become a part of Great Falls’ future. The City’s Growth Policy is an official document, formally adopted by the Commission, which will help plan for the community’s future. Public participation is essential to the Growth Policy Update process.
One local resident has already had the opportunity to be actively involved in the Growth Policy Update process. In June a call for graphic designers to assist with the Growth Policy Update was issued to the public. Ali Winberry, a local Great Falls resident, was selected. Ali is the current webmaster/graphic designer at Great Falls College and is also a local freelance photographer. In July, she designed the logo for the Growth Policy Update and over the next nine months, she is playing a vital role in the Update process. Ali is assisting with the creation of educational materials, maps, display boards and will have a hand in the lay-out and design of the final Growth Policy document. She grew up in Great Falls, and just recently moved back home from New York. Ali has a degree in Visual Communication from Ohio University.
The Planning and Community Development Department will be coordinating the Growth Policy Update process. For more information about the Growth Policy Update process or the Community Open House go to Facebook.com/ImagineGreatFalls or Contact Ida Meehan, Comprehensive Planner, at 406-455-8428.
