Current Online Auctions

The Information Technology (I.T.) Division will be using online auctions (primarily EBay) for the sale of its surplus equipment. This includes all surplus computer equipment items that do not exceed one thousand dollars in value. Per Ordinance 2897, the City may place items for sale on an internet auction site with an established minimum price.

Auction Rules

1. All items listed on internet auctions will have a minimum price of one dollar.
2. All items will be posted for no less than five days.
3. Shipping and Handling will be the responsibility of the winning bidder. The only exception is if the buyer can make a local pickup of purchased item(s). All shipping will be done using UPS Ground.
4. All transactions will be paid via Paypal. No credit cards, personal checks, money orders or cashier’s checks will be accepted.
   1. Paypal is an account-based system that allows anyone with an E-mail address to securely send and receive payments using their credit card or bank account.
5. All items will be guaranteed to be in working condition (unless noted otherwise). In the case of a not-noted-as, non-working item, Buyer will pay all expenses associated with shipping the item back. Once the item is received, we will refund the sale price.
