South Parking Garage Maintenance
The City’s South Parking Garage, located at 315 1st Avenue South, will be closed for maintenance from Saturday August 28 through Labor Day, reopening on Tuesday September 7. All vehicles must be removed from the South Parking Garage no later than 6 pm on Friday August 27.
This is the first major maintenance project at the South Parking Garage since it opened in April 2001 and includes resealing and restriping of the parking decks and repainting the garage. Regular maintenance is imperative to protecting the integrity of the parking structure and providing a safe environment for the public.
During the closure, monthly parking permit holders have been issued temporary permits and directed to park in the City’s North Parking Garage located at 17 4th Street North or specific City parking lots.
It is recommended that all non-permit holders parking downtown during the closure park on-street, or on a space available basis in the City’s North Parking Garage or parking lots.
