Snow Rodeo

Snow Rodeo

What is the Snow Rodeo & Equipment Operator Safety Training?

Snow removal equipment operators from around the state gather to participate in classroom instruction and competition.  There are four competitions featured at the rodeo:  snowplow, front-end loader, backhoe, and motorgrader.  This competition allows operators to put their skills to the test.  Safety is the major theme of the rodeo.  Contestants are required to operate equipment properly and safely at all times, and to demonstrate through written and diagnostic tests, knowledge of safety and possible hazards.  Scores are given for each phase of competition of written test, walk-around diagnostic, and rodeo.

The 25th Annual Snow & Equipment Rodeo will be held this year in Great Falls.
