STEAM Expo - Earth Day 2016 Celebration
The City of Great Falls is once again partnering with Great Falls Public Schools, Junior League of Great Falls, Malmstrom AFB 341st Civil Engineering Top 4 Group & Booster Club, and the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) to bring the STEAM Expo - Earth Day 2016 Celebration to the Great Falls area. The event date is April 2, 2016.

We can use this event to look forward to Earth Day 2016 and Arbor Day 2016. Come get some great ideas from the many displays and activities to put to good use in the Spring.
This event is free to the public. Bring the family to participate and learn more about Earth Day and the activities of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art-creativity and Math). There will be games, activities, informational booths and student projects on display. At around 1:30 PM the names of the Earth Day Poster Contest winners will be announced. The Expo will also have concessions, t-shirts and other related items for sale at the event to help support future Expos.

Earth Day Poster Contest
See rules, guidelines and entry form information below. For more online information on the Earth Day Poster Contest go to http://edposter.weebly.com. Put your thinking caps on and see what creative ideas you can come up with. Entries must be received by March 11, 2016. One student in each grade level will recieve a gift card sponsored by the City of Great Falls Environmental Division, and the City of Great Falls Sanitation Division will be awarding the 1st place winners an Earth Day t-shirt. Poster winners will also be eligible for a drawing for one of (5) Kindles. Students winning posters for 2015, pictures and video from 2015 can be viewed below.
Poster information will be posted and delivered to schools the week of January 11, 2016. The deadline for poster entries is March 11, 2016. Winners will be notified on or before March 29, 2016.
Registration for the STEAM Expo - Earth Day Event
Student Project registration will open January 4, 2016 and close March 11, 2016. To register your project go to http://events.gfps.k12.mt.us. If questions call Shelly Kelly at 268-6037 or email shelly_kelly [at] gfps [dot] k12 [dot] mt [dot] us. There will be parent meetings to help with any questions on December 12, 2015, January 26, 2016 and March 1, 2016. Information will be posted and go out in Wednesday envelopes.
Vendor registration. Get your booth registration in the system if you haven't done so already!!! http://events.gfps.k12.mt.us and select sponsor at the top. This area is for sponsors and vendors.
