Storm Water Pollution

The Missouri River is the source for drinking water for the City of Great Falls. It is important to keep our river water clean! All storm drain inlets go directly to the river. They are not tied to our sanitary sewer systems.

REPORTING OF STORM WATER POLLUTION
If you see or suspect a pollutant going into a storm drain that you feel could impact the storm water system and/or the Missouri or Sun rivers, please call (406) 727-8390 between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. After hours, call the Par-tner Hotline at (406) 727-8637 or use the online form below. It is important that we are notified as soon as possible if there are pollutants going into our storm drains.

In the event of a Serious hazard to life, property or the environment
Call 9-1-1

Potential pollutants include:

•Fuel, oil or grease spills

•Sediment
•Antifreeze spills
•Trash known as “floatables” going into the storm drains
•Paint, household chemicals, solvents, and other hazardous chemicals.
•Anything that doesn’t look or smell right
