| City Commission Work Session | Mayor Gray presiding |
CALL TO ORDER: 5:46 P.M.
ROLL CALL: City Commissioners present: Randy Gray, Bill Beecher, Sandy Hinz, Diane Jovick-Kuntz and John Rosenbaum. Also present were the City Manager, Assistant City Manager, City Attorney, Directors of Community Development, Planning, Public Works, Fire Chief, Acting Directors of Fiscal Services, and Park and Recreation, Acting Chief of Police and the Deputy City Clerk.
Public Works Director Jim Rearden presented to the Commission a map showing the different areas of town that will be provided with sidewalks and handicap sidewalk installations. He added that there were two projects, the City project and the State project. The MACI project is a two million dollar project. Mr. Rearden stated that the need for sidewalks around school areas was instrumental in qualifying the City to receive MACI funds. There would be a total of 323,770 square feet of new sidewalk throughout the City.
Public Works will go out for bids this winter and the projects are to be completed in 2006. He added that most of the sidewalks will be next to the curb with some boulevard sidewalks. The boulevard sidewalks will be in the new subdivision areas.
City Engineer Dave Dobbs provided the City Commission with an update on construction projects.
There being no further business to come before the Commission, the regular work session of May 17, 2005, adjourned at 6:37 p.m.
