FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The City of Great Falls is offering two sessions of lifeguard training. Training includes all certifications including CPR/PR, Oxygen Administration, First Aid Certification and Lifeguard Certification. American Red Cross Certification requires individuals to be 15 years of age or older and YMCA Certification requires individuals to be 16 years of age and older. Both certifications are being offered. Participants must be able to swim 500 yards.

Cost of the training/certification is $150 and includes books. Some scholarships are available based on financial need.
The two sessions offered are March 9-18 or April 12-22. The schedules will be as follows:

First Session:
March 9 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Park & Rec Office
March 10 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Park & Rec Office
March 11 9 a.m. – noon Natatorium
March 12 – 15 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Natatorium
March 16 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Natatorium
March 18 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Natatorium

Second Session:
April 12 & 13 7:00 – 10:00 p.m. Park & Rec Office
April 14 9 a.m. – noon Natatorium
1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Park & Rec Office
April 15 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Natatorium
April 21 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Natatorium
April 22 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Natatorium

Be a part of an elite lifeguard team by getting certified. The City of Great Falls hires approximately 70 lifeguards every summer with some positions year round. It is a great opportunity for employment! For more information call the Natatorium Swimming Pool at 452-3733.
