Great Falls, Montana – Do you know someone who has made Great Falls great?  Nominations are now open for the fourth Paris Gibson Award, named for the founder of Great Falls. The Annual Paris Gibson Award has been established by the Paris Gibson Month Celebration Committee to honor a citizen of Great Falls who embodies the vision and excellence exemplified by the founder of Great Falls, Montana, Paris Gibson.

Nominees must live in Great Falls; shall have excelled in his/her area of expertise, contributed to the betterment of Great Falls, and been innovative and creative in his/her service to our community. 

Prizes include $500, donated by Steel Etc., for the award winner’s favorite local charity; a tree, provided by Tilleraas Landscape Nursery, planted in Gibson Park in their honor with a granite marker, donated by Malisani; and a ride in a 1918 Model T Ford, owned by Denny Lorang, in the 4th of July Parade. 

The winner will be announced prior to the Great Falls Municipal Band Concert at 7 p.m., Wednesday, July 3 in Gibson Park

Nomination forms are available at the Park and Recreation Office, 1700 River Drive North or on line at  Deadline for entries is Friday, June 14, 2013.
