Bill and Joan-Nell Macfadden have been named winners of the sixth annual Paris Gibson Award.  The Award, established by the Paris Gibson Month Celebration Committee, is given to honor a citizen or citizens of Great Falls who embody the vision and excellence exemplified by the founder of Great Falls, Paris Gibson.  This is the second time a couple has won the Award.

Great Falls now has three official pickleball courts.  Rocky Mountain Hardscapes spent the past few days painting lines on the tennis courts at Lions Park, creating three official size courts for pickleball.  Local pickleball players have been using the courts the past few summers, but have relied on temporary lines.  The courts are now useable for both tennis and pickleball.

The portion of River’s Edge Trail between Falls Construction and the pedestrian underpass located under Giant Springs Road reopened late Friday afternoon. The section had been closed for repairs to the eroding gravel shoulders along the asphalt trail that had been a safety concern.
