Great Falls Animal Shelter to Host Free Rabies Vaccination Clinic on World Rabies Day

The City of Great Falls Animal Shelter will host a free rabies vaccination clinic for cats and dogs on Saturday, September 28, 2025, in recognition of World Rabies Day. The clinic will take place at the shelter, located at 1010 25th Avenue NE, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

This community-focused event aims to raise awareness about rabies prevention while providing an essential service to pet owners. Rabies is a preventable but deadly disease that affects both animals and humans. By ensuring that pets are properly vaccinated, Great Falls can take an important step toward safeguarding the health of both residents and their pets.

“This event is about more than just free vaccinations,” said Joseph Parchen, Community Relations Specialist for the City of Great Falls Animal Shelter. “It’s about public health, responsible pet ownership, and making our community a safer place.”

The clinic will operate on a first-come, first-served basis. No appointments or reservations are required. For safety, all animals must be leashed or kenneled.
