City of Great Falls Montana

This year marks 100 years of women voting in the State of Montana. The public is invited to a free, fun and educational program Saturday, October 11, from 2-4 p.m. in the Missouri Room of the Civic Center sponsored by the Historic Preservation Advisory Commission, the Downtown Chicks and Preservation Cascade, Inc.  The program will include a welcome from Lieutenant Governor Angela McLean, living history performers and storytellers highlighting the significance of the suffrage movement as well as music from the era.

Keep your eyes open for a new electronic marquee going up at the corner of Park Drive and 1st Avenue North! This electronic marquee will serve as a dynamic advertising medium for events and activities taking place at the Mansfield Center. The project was approved by the People's Park and Recreation Foundation and funded through a donation received from Calumet Refinery.

Who said you can’t teach an old dog new tricks? The Great Falls Animal Shelter is hosting the 3rd Annual Fall Fantasy Dog Show on Saturday, October 18, from 1 – 4 p.m. at F & L Pet Resort (2500 17th St. N.E., Black Eagle) with check-in starting at noon. The Fall Fantasy Dog Show features ten class competitions that highlight your dog’s amazing talents and skills.
