City of Great Falls Montana

The City is excited to announce that Sara Sexe has accepted the position as City Attorney. Sara is a Great Falls native and has been practicing law for twenty-three years, most recently with the firm of Marra, Sexe, Evenson & Bell, P.C.  She will be transitioning out of her private practice role and into the position of City Attorney this summer.

On October 24, 2013, the City Commission voted to enter into a 5 year electricity supply contract with PPL Treasure State. PPL Treasure State was the only supplier to submit a final proposal.  PPL Treasure State offered prices for contracts ranging from 1 to 5 years in length. The 1 year price was $39.05/MWh and the 5 year price was $41.20/MWh. Prices for 2, 3 and 4 years were between the 1 year and 5 year prices. The City Commission selected the 5 year contract.

The Montana Municipal Interlocal Authority (MMIA) awarded the 2013 Bob Worthington Risk Management Achievement Award to the City of Great Falls. MMIA specifically recognized Angela Swingley, Risk Manager, and Mark Willmarth, Training and Development Coordinator, for their dedication to addressing both workers’ compensation and liability issues. Kudos to Mark and Angela for a job well done!
