Conservation District Board of Supervisors (Cascade County)

Creation
Conservation District Board of Supervisors (Cascade County) was established under MCA 76.15.3

Conservation Districts (CDs) work locally to fulfill the state’s policy to conserve soil, water, and other natural resources of the state. The Cascade Conservation District (CCD) covers all areas within the county boundaries except within the original (1947) city limits of Great Falls, Belt and Cascade.

Conservation District Board of Supervisors (Cascade County) is responsible for attending SB310 permit inspections, meetings, and various workshops.

Membership
Seven members — five elected at large at the general election, two appointed residents of municipalities within the district (MCA § 76-15-301 and -305).

Residency Requirements
Appointed supervisors must be residents of municipalities within the district (MCA § 76-15-311(a)).
