July is National Park and Recreation Month

Great Falls, Montana – This July, join the City of Great Falls for Park and Recreation Month, as we celebrate how Great Falls is stronger, more vibrant and more resilient because of parks and recreation. Great Falls Park and Recreation is celebrating Park and Recreation Month theme ‘Where Community Grows’, an initiative of the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA). The department will be celebrating by giving recognition to staff, the history of the department, operations of the various divisions and why Parks and Recreation is so important to the community.
Help us celebrate Park and Recreation Month by visiting a one of 57 parks, playing a round of disc golf in Warden Park, floating the lazy river at the Electric City Waterpark, attending a new fitness class or ending the day by taking a walk or bike ride along the River’s Edge Trail. However you celebrate whether it’s your daily activity or something new please share your experience with us and consider tagging the City of Great Falls in your FB/Social media post with the hashtag #WhereCommunityGrows.
