City of Great Falls Animal Shelter to Host "A Home for the Holidays" Adoption Event

The City of Great Falls Animal Shelter is set to spread holiday cheer with its upcoming adoption event, "A Home for the Holidays," running from November 20th to December 31st. This festive initiative aims to find loving forever homes for as many animals as possible during the holiday season.

In the true spirit of giving, the City of Great Falls Animal Shelter is making pet adoption more accessible by reducing adoption fees. Cat adoptions, which typically cost $55, will be available for an irresistible $5 during the event. Dog adoptions, usually priced at $150, are reduced to $50. This limited-time offer presents a unique opportunity for families and individuals alike to welcome a new furry friend into their homes.

Prospective adopters should note that adoption fees do not cover the $45 lifetime city license, mandatory for residents within city limits.

The success of this heartwarming event is made possible through the generosity of a dedicated donor and the support of the Bissell Pet Foundation's Empty the Shelters grant. These collaborative efforts aim to create a holiday season filled with love, compassion, and forever homes for our beloved animals.

"No one deserves to be alone for the holidays, and that includes our four-legged friends," remarked Laramie Smovir, Volunteer Coordinator of the City of Great Falls Animal Shelter. "We encourage the community to come together, open their homes, and make this holiday season truly special for both pets and their new families."

The City of Great Falls Animal Shelter invites the public to join in the "A Home for the Holidays" adoption event and share the news with friends and family. Those interested can view the shelters adoptable animals on Petfinder.com. They can then fill out an application  during the event period to meet potential new family members. This holiday season, let's make a lasting impact on the lives of these animals by finding each of them "A Home for the Holidays."
