Are donations I make to the Great Falls Animal Shelter tax deductible?

Yes! Cash and in-kind donations to the Animal Shelter are tax deductible. Our federal tax ID number is 81-6001269. Your donation can be designated to the Guardian Angel Fund, the Adoption Fund or the Help Us Grow Project. All donations stay here at the Shelter; if the donor designates the money go to a particular fund, those funds are only used as the donor designates. All donations stay within our organization and help us fund for the care of sheltered animals, assist in adoption costs or shelter improvements.

Is the Great Falls Animal Shelter a private nonprofit 501(c)3?

No, but the Shelter is a municipal shelter, or a governmental agency/ unit, and donations are still tax deductible under IRS Code Section 170(c).
