GREAT FALLS ANIMAL SHELTER HOSTING AN ONLINE AUCTION TO RAISE FUNDS FOR THE ANIMALS

GREAT FALLS, Montana – The City of Great Falls Animal Shelter is hosting an online auction May 18th-22nd to raise funds to care for the homeless animals of Great Falls.

Items range from art to trips and everything in between. Local businesses donated some amazing items including ski lift tickets, restaurant gift cards, and fashion accessories. The shelter partnered with yourcharityauction.com to offer some larger package items as well including a tickets to the 150th Kentucky Derby, a Nascar driving experience, and a variety of sports memorabilia.

“The money raised from this auction will go to defray the cost of emergency medical care, spaying/neutering animals in our care, and other shelter costs not covered by the general budget,” said Laramie Smovir, Volunteer Coordinator. “We do our best to be fiscally responsible but still offer the exceptional care to the animals and sometimes that means finding other ways to raise funds. This is one of those times.”

While some of the items do require local pickup, many of the items can be shipped or digitally redeemed. So, folks that don’t live in Great Falls but want to support the shelter can still bid.

“We also included a few Bid to Give items to help pay for some necessary items for the animal shelter.” Smovir said “Anyone that bids to feed a shelter animal for a week, pay for a microchip, or any of the other Bid to Give items are donating directly to help an animal in our facility.”

The auction opens on May 18th at 6:00 am and closes on May 22nd at 10:00 pm. The auction can be found at yourcharityauction.com/gfas.
