Neighborhood Council Meetings & Ice Cream Social - July 17-20, 2023

Next week, two Neighborhood Councils (NC) are holding meetings, and one is hosting an ice cream social. Below is a brief summary of the meetings and social.

Neighborhood Council #5's (NC#5) monthly meeting is hosted on Monday, July 17, at 7:00 pm in the Great Falls Clinic Specialty Center Conference Room, 3000 15th Avenue South. Agenda items* include Alliance for Youth presentation, annual ice cream social, candidate forum plans, and neighborhood concerns. Neighborhood Council #3's (NC#3) Special Meeting is on Thursday, July 20, at 4 pm in the Corpus Christi Church, 410 22nd Ave NE. Agenda items* Fundraising for Skyline Park and Valley View Park, Summer Celebration, and neighborhood concerns. Neighborhood Council #8 (NC#8) invites residents to participate in the 20th Annual Ice Cream Social on Thursday, July 20, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in Memorial Park, 19th Street and 2nd Avenue North. Ice cream and root beer floats will be served. The social is free and open to the public, thanks to the generosity of Meadow Gold and the council members. Three additional Neighborhood Council Summer Socials will be hosted in August. All events are free and open to the public.

  • NC#3 – August 19 at 1 pm in Jaycee Park
  • NC#7 – August 20 at 12 pm in Carter Park
  • NC# 5 – August 20 at 2 pm in Russell Park

Want to serve on a Neighborhood Council? While the deadline to have your name on the ballot passed, you can still file as a write-in candidate. Below is a link to the Write-In Candidate Declaration of Intent and Oath of Candidacy. This form needs to be submitted to the Cascade County Elections Office by September 5 at 5 pm. The election for the Neighborhood Council will be held on November 7, 2023, and the 2-year term begins in January 2024. Currently, there are openings in Neighborhood Councils 2, 5, and 9.
